Clean Beauty Products on my Christmas Wish List
a list of clean beauty products I’ve been dying to try
When it comes to beauty products, I keep a list of products I’ve been eyeing. There is so much out there, new products and ingredients on the market every year. I love trying new things and improving my skin health and makeup choices. I’m a firm believer in tried and true products, but I also know that we’re learning new things every day and we can benefit greatly from that.
There is a fine line between overconsuming and thinking that a product can do more than it really can (I mean almost the entire advertising industry bases everything on that expectation). I try my best to be very intentional, not only for my bank account and the environment, but also for my skin. Changing routines and products too often can sometimes harm your skin more than help. The clean beauty products I’ve listed below are ones I’ve been researching and reading up on for almost 6 months now. I’ve put them on my wish list for Christmas and hope that Santa will get me a couple because I’m dying to try.
I know I love to peek into other people's medicine cabinets and I thought you would like to see the brands and products I’ve had my eye on almost all year. Check it out and let me know what you think…
Act + Acre
Since giving birth to Jackson, I’ve noticed a big shift in my hair not just in volume or thickness, but in color. My hair is turning gray faster than ever. I’m trying a few things to see if I can improve it and have been wanting to try this hair care brand for some time now. I love the founders' story and the education they put out there via social media is super. I’ve asked for the Dry and Damaged Hair System. I’m really going hard in 2023 on my hair health. I recently bought the Moon Juice SuperHair multivitamin during Black Friday and hopefully, I’ll have some good news to tell you in 3 months.
Merit
I’ve been dying to try The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick. I’ve been putting it off because I have a few products I already love and was waiting to finish them. Since becoming a mom, I LOVE a concealer stick. They are so convenient and the precision of coverage works really well for me. I also really love a “no makeup” makeup look and this will be the first thing I buy with any gift cards and/or money I get for Christmas.
Living Libations
I’ve been a loyal customer of Living Libations for a few years. Their Best Skin Ever Seabuckthorn Oil has been a favorite of mine, but I recently re-read Nadine’s (the founder) book Renegade Beauty and it sparked my interest in my gum and teeth health. There are a few products of her’s I really want to try. The Happy Gum Drops and Mint + Myrrh Tooth Serum. I’m realizing how important my oral health is and I want to make it a priority in 2023.
Marie Veronique
I’ve been playing with the idea of starting a retinol for a year or two now. I’ve heard lots of great things about retinols from Marie Veronique. I’m still doing a little research into which one, but I’m definitely planning on buying one of the serums from this brand next. I’m very interested in seeing how retinol can benefit my skin. Expect to see more about this product from me in the new year.
OK, that’s the list. Please let me know if you’ve used any of the products I mentioned and your experience as well as any other products that you think I might love. Here’s to hoping Santa reads this blog…Merry Christmas!
